Just minutes ago around 10:25 AM ish sitting here in the office and apparently we had a mild earthquake. Located here in Albany, NY and it felt like things were wobbling.
Epicenter I guess was north NJ.

4.8 on the scale

in North jersey. about 2.8-3 here in the Capital region. Richter scale is logarithmic so that means jersey got rocked compared to up here. still no mistaking it here. crazy

Yea, it shook my whole house. I'm on top of a mountain and i could hear the HVAC ducts rattling.

Earthquakes are no joke. We had one this last fall or over the winter who's epicenter was within a mile of being directly below our neighborhood. I was visiting my brother at the farm and  it shook and rumbled loud enough that we stepped outside to see if there was a big car crash or something in front of the house. It gave me a whole new respect for quakes higher on the richter scale.

I was at home for an early lunch and the house made cracking noises like it does when it's cold and I wondered why it was doing that.  Lol.  But didn't feel anything.

My wife felt nothing at work.  Works in the old Montgomery Ward's building in Manands for the state.  They sent out a bulletin saying anyone that is nervous and wants to work from home the rest of the day can do so..

I was in the shower when it hit and knew immediately what it was, but I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and experienced them frequently.   I am about 11 miles from the epicenter and we got the full 4.8 shake for a good 30 seconds or so.  No noticeable damage to the house.  I remember as a kid my Dad and  Mom's pictures falling off the walls when we lived in CA.
