Joe T
Here is a chance to put the camo back on and sit in the blind for a couple of hours in the off season! The Long Island Retriever Field Trial Club is looking for a few volunteers to help launch birds for its upcoming hunt tests on the weekend of April 27 and 28 at Otis Pike. You will load dead ducks into a catapult style launcher and release them from your blind upon signal from the line about 75 yards away. Then you have a front row seat to see some great dog work! Morning and afternoon shifts are available, and training is provided. For more information and to sign up, contact Joe Tomaino at josephtomaino@me.com. ATbuckhunter
Going to be tough for you guys. We have a problem getting volunteers at our hunt tests and we have quite a few members, but no one seems to be able to help out most days. Its always the same guys over and over again. Joe T
Yes, it’s a never-ending problem, but I would thought I would try casting a net in a different area… It might be interesting to try to attract people who like to hunt but aren’t busy with the dogs… On one off basis it could be a lot of fun for them Bucksnbows and Otto
