Bucksnbows Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Got out today on a buddy’s boat for stripers. Fished both NY and NJ waters. We had bait everywhere. Gannets were diving on the bait, but no fish busting the surface. The lure of the day was a chartreuse swim shad. My first bass trip of the year. I’ll hit the northern NJ beaches soon with the two handled fly rod and wait for the blues to join in the fray. Tough conditions with a strong and steady blow out of the SW, but we managed six. We kept two we caught end of day in NJ waters. The others were NY fish and too long, so they all got tossed back. Red, mowin, hemlock and 5 others 8 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
