Last month I impulsively grabbed a copy of Backwoodsman Magazine while visiting the Log Can Shop in Ohio. I don’t know if anyone else has perused this magazine, but after tearing through that issue, I mentioned to my wife that I’d like to subscribe. She bought me a 3 year subscription for my birthday. I’m just finishing up with the January/February issue, and it’s equally as enjoyable as the first. For anyone that enjoys outdoor stories, DIY projects and homesteading topics, I would highly recommend it.

I've subscribed for many decades. I have had two articles that I wrote published in Backwoodsman. Now that Primitive Archer went all digital, Backwoodsman and Fur Fish and Game are the only magazines I get any more.

They still publish Fur Fish and game?  I know a gentleman( Ed Hall) that used to write for them from time to time.  He actually did a piece and the .17wmr when it came out.  I took him out woodchuck hunting to a couple of my spot and he wrote that article based on that hunt.

I have a subscription to FF&G, but I’m not sure I’ll renew after this year. Just not enough that interests me.
