dbHunterNY Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 "A new era in TC Arms. Family owned, customer focused, and made in the USA." Quality of TC firearms like the ProHunter in the earlier days was top notch. Definitely better than CVA who's killing it right now. I met Greg Ritz probably over a decade ago at the Harrisburg PA show. Wasn't in front of any long line of people eager to meet him. Just standing there off to the side talking. When I saw the convo was over I walked up to introduce myself. He was very approachable and seemed vested in our conversation. He's a well accomplished business man in the industry and had long history with TC. Hope he can pull it from the ashes where Smith and Wesson left it. cervidchasers, Spaceman Spiff, E J and 5 others 8
mowin Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 I like my pro hunter. It's been my go to deer rifle for 20y, but man are they heavy. Carried my savage Axis last year, and I really liked how light it was.
DirtTime Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Good news for hunters. Windham is re-opening too. @mowin my Axis with the synthetic stock is light, my Axis with a wood stock isn't. dbHunterNY and mowin 2
ATbuckhunter Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Glad to hear it. My first rifle was a T/C and I've always had a love for that company. Hopefully they'll turn out quality products.

Splitear Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Always happy to see more "Made in the USA" firearms manufacturing. I know the muzzleloader forum I'm a member of has a lot of folks hoping they'll get back into that game, but I highly doubt it.
Buckmaster7600 Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Never mad about another US company. They’ve never impressed me with any of their products after owning a few. Hopefully they come out with some good products at a decent price.

Greg Ritz was notorious for using a ProHunter smoke pole and making 250yd shots in various conditions. It's hard for me to imagine them not having MLs.

sbuff Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Let's hope it works out for TC https://sgbonline.com/thompson-center-arms-acquired-by-former-owner/

Lawdwaz Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 It’ll NEVER be like the original T/C from back in the 70’s 80’s etc. Ritz will only pump it up then dump it.
The_Real_TCIII Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 I been here for years... I love my Encore Pro Hunter ML Jeremy K and Nomad 2
