I was at a clients cutting down 3 red pine and a spruce.  Two of the red pine were on the ground, and I see this gal waving her arms.  She was stopping me from cutting down trees because we're cutting trees down faster than they grow.. and I need to stop.

Ok.. they're dead.

Nope.. still a little green left..

But I'm being paid to remove them.

I'll call the police if you continue..

Please do.  I'll dial for you. Called landowner instead.

Landowner told the lady to go f' herself.  She wasn't pleased. Cops never showed up and I continued to murder dead trees.

People suck..

Did you at least give her a tissue to wipe her tears away ? Un Freakin Real !  Should of called her a cannibal and a murderer . Should of reminded her that someone killed whatever she stuffed her face with for dinner . And if she pulls the ole " I'm A Vegan " tell her that plants have feelings too .  People are nuts !  WAY more the last decade than I have seen in my lifetime !

If I had time to really think about a response, I would have messed with her big time.  I was definitely floored and caught off guard, and only thought about calling the landowner. I was really caught off guard.

I had this happen when I was cutting a path on a right of way.  "I'm just the guy with the chainsaw." Showed her the surveyor's markers for the ROW and then told her to call the town or the state cops.  She wouldn't quit, so I told her that we could talk about it all day if she paid me $50/hr.  She declined and I cut an 8' wide path to a proposed building site.

Maintained that path with a walk-behind brush-hog and saw for 4 years until Covid hit and the lot finally sold.

Rusty would be proud... I haven't killed a snake yet this yr. Seen tons and had plenty of chances though.

We sure do live in a strange world.  Not closely related, but it makes me sad to see more and more dead and leafless ash trees as I drive around.  It is just hitting this area big time now.  I walked the farm with a logger two weeks ago to see what ash trees could be salvaged.  Apparently the market is good for ash currently but our land it too wet right now, we'll have the dead ash murdered later this summer.  I will have to move a bunch of tree stands, they are no longer safe.

90% of them were tiny.. it's the larger ones that I really don't like.

Reminds me of a story from when I was a kid (before cell phones).  A friends brother owned a tree service company and had a contract with NYC to trim trees.  One of his workers was in one of the boroughs solo using a bucket truck.  While he was trimming a woman came up and was yelling at him to stop.  Being NYC he told her to F-off.  She then went into his truck and shut the motor leaving him stranded up in the bucket for hours.

She would have paid dearly for that. Roundup icecubes all over the front lawn or spraying a message is very effective.  I mean,  at least that's what I've heard.
