I'm not a construction contractor and Dewalt Sliding Milter Saw is something I thought was a want vs need. That said it's one of the best tool purchases I've made. I built my garage with it and use it quite often for home repair jobs. I did put a finishing blade on mine as I don't need to be fast vs wanting cleaner cuts.

Yep same, I have a bunch of tools I thought I'd rarely use but wind up using quite often.  I have a suite of the Dewalt tools, among other brands.

you know what I hate about all the new electric tools. Functionally they're amazing. I cant believe that I now own an electric string trimmer in addition to blower, hedge trimmer, pole saw, chain saws etc.

It's that no brand is the best in every category, yet I'm sick of having more and more chargers that aren't compatible. I think I already have 5 on my workbench. Then looking for a longer hedge trimmer I see that kobalt doesn't sell the 40v anymore, just a 60v, which is guess what? A new charger.

ugh. old man rant over.

@Belo i know others in your same situation. call me a boomer from a later generation but my string trimmer was a cheap pre-mixed gas powered WeedEater i bought with my previous house 14 years ago. i've only repaired it once because i abused the hell out of the direct drive cable without to clutch by using blades instead of string. I still use it to do my small 1.18 acre yard and then a pile of trail cam locations at the farm. previous house had trails and 3 acres of lawn with a lot of trees, shrubs, flowering bushes, and other stuff to go around. on a total of 10 acres. i've used it a little on trails at the farm also. engine is getting tired but still starts and runs. an electric string trimmer couldn't fit that need.

I have stihl gas powered trimmer that is awesome. But, I still use a battery powered black and decker trimmer around the playground and fencing. On it's lowest setting it's easier than feathering down the high powered stihl.

I built a shelf in the garage just for chargers , wtf . My pos battery mower just sh!t the bed in less then  a year , full refund and I bought a gas mower . I have a gas Stihl chain saw, just bought a new  Stihl gas leaf blower , and have the Stihl gas kombi system . I like my battery weed whacker and hand toOls but there’s limits to battery tools and 11 zillion chargers sucks .

While I’m on this rant I converted all my gas cans to free flow , removed springs, cut off tabs , put in vent caps , drill 1/8 hole pop in yellow vent cap . Still have a few old school cans with just an open spout as well , mostly one and two gallon one but one five gallon also .

I have 4 five  gallon gas cans , E free and treated with stablizer that power everything from my truck to lawnmower . My gas and oil cans are smaller , but I have plenty of oil to add to the raw gas ,  as long as my neighbor stops borrowing them !

Safety gas cans suck. Legally, I can only have approved cans in the back of the truck, they have to be secured.

I have this one and love it. easy, no spill, push buttonimage.png.305bac0bc283e604ce8e4e62cbec8fd2.png

I've got several.  Not  bad, but takes too long to empty out.

I've got three of these. Two 5gal, and one 2gal for mixed fuel.  Little pricey, but I can empty out a 5 gallon can in half the time of the plastic ones.

I have switched all of my gas cans and diesel cans to the "No Spill" they are a bit more expensive but they are way easier to use than the other style of safety cans.
