Massachusetts just passed laws that are not friendly to hunting in general and especially make it more difficult to hunt from out of state. CT

I used to hunt down there on the Rhode island border for deer. Millville Uxbridge and around the area hunted vehind a McDonald's and right next to an interstate.  Just too much for me 100 yards by 100 yards pushing behind suburban area. I'd ve on my belly just getting back from Iraq. All the guys are finding more bigger areas after Dec or dmr started messing with them. Our best year was 13 deer all suburban with shotguns. One we shot I went to finish but couldn't because it crossed into a yard in Rhode island they told me to let it go I'd get in trouble. Should have jumped on the son of a bitch and slit her throat.

That's not great to hear.. I've thought  few times of doing  a hunting trip to MA.

I lived for a couple years in the nw corner of CT. 6-8 miles from Mass and NY. In my time there i didn't deer hunt, but I never met or  ran across a hunter.

Under the bill residents must now obtain an ID card with a written and live fire test. Firearms must be registered.  Nonresidents can’t possess a firearm in Mass unless their home state has similar laws.

I hunted there yrs ago when all they did was pushing.  I was on my uncle's posted property and a orange wall of people swept through.  Couldn't believe the amount of shots I heard. They had no concern about trespassing, or shooting in the direction of those sitting in their way.

I understand it's not like that any longer, but I haven't been back to confirm.
