Caeden4 Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 I've got some family in lackawanna county PA and theyre getting walloped right now. also under a tornado watch
Lawdwaz Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 We may need to do a welfare check on Pygmy. He’s not too far from there, depending on which rivers are flooding. Terrible news. Robhuntandfish 1
Caeden4 Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 i read that rains falling at 3 inches per hour in some areas. thats insane! hope everyone is staying safe
mowin Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Wow, that's insane. I couldn't imagine going through something like that. I feel for those involved. Rain has pretty much skirted my area and stayed off to the west. Although Columbia county is under a tornado watch till 8 PM.

The worst of it is passed now but virtually all roads were washed out if they were near a stream. Pygmy's area got hit really hard clear to Woodhull/Jasper area I hear... 2BuckBizCT Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 We got several inches of rain here in CT and some tornado warnings. my lawn is a jungle, but it should all be over by tomorrow. Glad I'm on top of a mountain and water flows down away from me. Nomad and Caeden4 1 1

Lawdwaz Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Just dug around and saw this…..I hunted the hell out of Westfield back from the mid 80’s to maybe 2015 or so for spring gobblers. I think I know what creek must have flooded out, IIRC it runs parallel with Rt49. Some house washed away like Larry said…….

mowin Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 That's incredible. The power of water is impressive and scary. Hopefully no lives were lost. Nomad 1
