Joe T
The season for snipe in NY opens Sept 1 but there is no snipe season where I live on Long Island. Has anyone had success with snipe in NY? From what I have read it sounds like marshy areas of WMAs may be good spots. I was also curious to read that some use decoys when hunting snipe! Anyone have that experience? Moho81
I have encountered them here in WNY a couple of times while out duck hunting. The only advise I can give you is to save your energy and don’t bother. Those dang things are so fast, so small and so dodgy you’ll never hit one!!!! Joe T
