Hoyt Ventum 33

So, I came away from the auction tonight with a rather unexpected purchase. A fully setup Hoyt Ventum 33. Sport Hogg Grinder sight, Hoyt Ultra Rest, stabilizer, hard case, the works. I won’t say how much I paid, but it’s less than half of what the rest sells for new by itself…

Anyone have experience with this bow. I’ll need to take it to the shop to get it set up, but I think I’m going to keep it and move my old BowTech to a backup bow position.

Nice bow.  I dabbled in Hoyt for a few years, but went back to PSE.  If I remember correctly the 33 came out in 2021. It was a longer version of the 30 with less nock pinch. As with most bows, they loose value as fast as computers.  But it's a solid bow.

BowTech Allegiance, best bow I’ve ever owned.

If you love the bowtech that much, and it so familiar, then eBay the Hoyt.  The only way to switch is if you just need to try something new.

Yep, now that I’m browsing eBay, I think I’m going to remain happy with my BowTech and sell they Hoyt…

Why mess with something that isn't broken.

But I need to ask, what else did you buy at the auction? Hopefully it wasn't a squirrel in a canoe. Lol

Nope, just a decorative war club, I think I have a buyer for it :)

Well, I believe I might keep it. It’s a smoother draw than my BT, a tad quieter and feels good to shoot.

I didn’t touch the sights, took 4 shots at 10 that packed right in next to each other in the bull. Backed up to 30 with the same pin and this was the result.

The 8 shots I’ve taken with it are a pretty solid argument for putting it into the field.

I shoot one and love it. I wasn't even looking to upgrade from my halon x but against better judgement I tried one a guy at a 3d shoot had. The draw is so smooth and the bow is dead in hand after the shot. A real shooter imo and I don't plan on selling that one for another 10 years or more.

I got mine used but still paid quite a bit for it,but it had a great sight on it as well.

Agreed. I shoot this same bow but paid full price. It replaced a much older Hoyt a couple years ago. I’m no bow tech, but the draw is smooth as silk which my old Hoyt was not and it shoots better than I do and by far. I will likely use it until I can’t draw a compound any longer (shoulder).
