Helping+ Putting Game " Opportunities " In Front Of Others.

Recommended Posts

I have helped out/ probably too much over the years getting other Hunters on both Pheasants and Fall + Spring Wild Turkeys.

My Brother in Law had no time to Scout for Spring and Fall Wild Turkeys- so,I did that for him.  He took a alot of Big ol Birds that,I could have Killed. Especially  when " 2" Fall Turkeys could be Killed in 1 Day.

Jeannine was next. She was at my 2014 Spring Turkey Hunting Seminar,I gave down at the Sterling Forest State Park Visitor Center. She had 1 Fall Turkey Killed already.  I gave up a few Spring Opening Days for her-" not many veterans will do that" and we had close opportunities.  Gave her a few Fall Opening days- same thing- very close- but no Birds Killed. Easy Opportunities  for me if,I was alone.

And my Fav Beginning Turkey Hunter is Cynthia  here. She caught on Quick. Probably  because She also sits in front of Trees while Deer Hunting. I think she told me 37 or so Deer Killed.  She is up to 5 Turkeys Killed in the last 5 years including a Monster 26lber+ Heaviest Gobbler,I have ever lifted up!

Fun helping others out! I realize,I could have Killed 30+ more Turkeys myself .  That is the Teacher in me.

Now with Pheasant  Hunting,I am more reserved as my Hunting Dog is involved. I need to know someone's Skill level first before they join me. There are plenty of Pheasant Hunters who go field without a Dog. They will talk up a storm and walk in with you.

My 2 Rules is we don't  shoot at the same Pheasant at the same Time. I back you up in case you miss and we reverse that on the next Hot Scent.

And absolutely  no low shots at Pheasants.  My Hunting Dogs safety is Paramount.

This has worked out. 2 Pheasants  are the Limit anyway.  These past years,I try to walk in fast without anyone latching on to me. So many Guys out there without a Dog.

Who else here has given up a bunch of easy game to help others out?
