Release for Hunting/3-D

Since I’m upgrading my bow this year, I’m considering updating my release that I’ve been using for probably the last 20 years, and old Tru Fire caliper. It still works, but I know there’s better out there. I’d like to stay with a wrist strap with a trigger. Does anyone have recommendations for a good one that will serve well for hunting and 3-D shooting?

I’ve got two identical Carter Releases, Like Mike or something? (I figured I should have a back up)I guess I’ve used them 5 years or so, before that it was TRU Ball of some sort.

I don’t remember how I even got onto the Carter but I do like them.  Simple enough and reliable.

I was gifted the Carter like mike 2. I’ll try out next time I’m at the range. It has great reviews but stupid pricey.

Carter's are very pricey. My rep gave me one when I worked inna archery shop.  I've tried several, but just don't like the thumb release.

Believe it or not, until last yr, I used a true fire dual release. You could use it as a trigger, or clip it on the loop and press the trigger to lock it on, then pull the bow back while holding the trigger and release by relaxing you finger. It was made for finger shooter that were making the move to a release.

Yeah, we can spend so much money on fishing and hunting. Not sure why but $200 for a trigger release rubbed me the wrong way. That said, I did not turn it down.

Carters are tops , iv been shooting quickie 1+ that i love .  You can change out the spring for as light or as heavy of a  trigger you want. I bought my wife and my  boy the quickie 1, that they both really liked . Now that I'm crossbow only ill be selling off my vertical bow stuff , pm if your  interested. Pretty sure i have a truball short and sweet also .

Myself and family all use Scott Shark and Little Goose for 20 years now. Have several on hand for backups in case one breaks. But has yet to happen.  lightweight, slim,  nice soft leather wrist strap smooth trigger release. Highly recommend
