broomeguy
Installed QAD drop away rest last year and noticed fletchings are getting beat up. Back end of drop away shows some wear. Does it mean rest is too low?
The_Real_TCIII
Its timing could be off. How's your flight? Gotta be ugly
The_Real_TCIII
Nock an arrow, is your nock end visibly low or does your arrow look level?
will12785
I had the same problem. Check the timing cord. It most likely stretched a little bit over the year.
broomeguy
Thanks guys. Arrow looks level to me. Decent group at 20. Will take to shop. Need new fletchings anyways.
Moog5050
You might be getting bounce. The QAD shouldn’t but it happens. Unless that rest felt just came up and is hitting fletching.
Trial153
Your timed too slow, take up an 1/4 on your cord You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think.”Marcus Aurelius. Meditations 2.
cas
I spent a lot of money (for the time) on my QAD drop away rest. It always seemed to have some ever so slight fletching contact, just "kissing" it, didn't seem to effect it though. And for a couple reasons I soon after stopped shooting a bow. Skip ahead 19 years... since it was literally like new, I tried putting it on my new bow last summer and it just would not work reliably (and not because it was 19 years old). Angles were odd and cable motions were such that no matter what I did I couldn't get it to work right.
broomeguy
Wish i kept my old 2 pronged rest. Did it's job for many years. Tried the whisker for a bit but didn't fancy it.
