After 3 years dodging Covid's bullet, now I got it. My wife tested positive on 12/28 after a Christmas party with her family. 80% of the people that were there got it!  They wanted to get together as this will be the last year her father will be with us. My wife was in bed for 4 days and I cared for her, taking all precautions, but apparently it wasn't good enough. 5 days after she tested positive, I tested positive. Damn it!! The first day she felt well enough to get out of bed, I go down with it! Felt like I was hit by a bus yesterday, sore all over, fever, and wicked headache. The doc put me on Plaxlovid. I feel 50% better today.

Paxlovid seems to be very effective at reducing symptoms from Covid. I let it run its course when I got it back in September, but have watched my 83 year old mother with Parkinson’s get Covid twice last year. Both times, Paxlovid turned her Covid around in under two days. Hope you feel better quickly!

Emergen-C and Gatorade are my secret potion when I'm sick.

My wife was down hard for 4 days and didn't get out of bed. In 35 years, I've never seen her so sick. On her 5th day, I tested positive and dreaded what I figured was coming my way, after caring for her. I also have bronchitis, so the doc gave me Plaxlovid. Day 1 I felt like I was hit by a bus, headache and fever, but I started Plaxlovid that same day. Within 24hrs, I felt 100%! Amazing! Still in isolation, trying to prevent passing it onto my daughter, but I'm bored out of my mind! Actually moved some of my home office into my bedroom, so I can at least get some work done.
