NYRturkeycall Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Just put the finishing touches on my (new to me) Summit open shot. I'm hoping this will give me better motivation to do shorter sits when I can... And also help me pack in lighter. Bolt Action, Robhuntandfish, mowin and 2 others 5 Palma non sine pulvere
phade Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Hopefully it helps, was the paint messed up or something that you needed to paint?
Trial153 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 looks good, can’t hurt i guess You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think.”Marcus Aurelius. Meditations 2.11
NYRturkeycall Posted September 10, 2024 Author Posted September 10, 2024 Nothing wrong with it or the paint at all, I really just had the urge to paint it similar to asat camo. But lugging my regular summit viper around, especially on deeper walks, for shorter sits was becoming a pain. So the open shot I think will be better for shorter sits on longer walks. I mean I guess I don't climb crazy high. So maybe this will give me a tiny edge? I really only go about 15 ft up to the bottom of my platform. Palma non sine pulvere
phade Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Make sure you’ve got that bottom tethered to the top. My open shot was the climber where the bottom went to base of tree while all I had was the top. That was fun. Learned that lesson quick. They’re pretty comfy for what they are. I’m just not a climber stand person much any longer.
broomeguy Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Used to have one as well. Prefered the full one at the expense of more weight. Agree with phade, tether both pieces together.

I'm even neurotic enough to put an extra strap around the seat and the tree. cervidchasers and Trial153 2 Palma non sine pulvere
