Kickoff to the Saratoga County 4-H Shooting Sports Course

We kicked off the fall 4-H Shooting Sports course this evening with Home Firearm Safety and Smallbore Rifle.

A full class of 15 kids, taught mostly by our 4-H youth. I’m always so proud watching these kids teach other youth. All I really have to do is stand back and take pictures.

A highlight of our first knight is always exploding a cabbage with a 12 gauge and sending a couple of tomato sauce cans to outer space with rifles. If you put a quarter under the can and set it on a cinder block, the expanding pressure will leave a perfect indentation of Washington on the bottom of the can
