Well folks, up for sale is a Summit Openshot SD climber that has been used 1 time. That’s correct, went up a tree once, came back down once, and realized it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Asking for $275 as the stand retails for $330-350. Willing to drive and meet up. Stand is currently in the Rotterdam area (Schenectady county).

Everything that comes with the stand from the factory is included, from the tie down strap to the heel bungee cord to the backpack straps.

More pictures can be provided if needed. My mistake is your gain!

this is really tempting. and youre not too far from me either. ive been reluctant to spend the money on one because i've found that the older i get, the less i seem to like heights lol i have a feeling i'd be in the same boat youre in now if i were to buy it. which is crazy to me cause i probably spent half my childhood as high up in a tree as i could manage to climb.

Hey neighbor!!  I'm in Rotterdam too.

Great deal here!! Good luck with the sale!!

I sold my Summit climber a few years ago, just got too old to climb trees. And I much prefer ground hunting. But the climber itself, was solid and trouble free.

For the purpose that they made it for, they absolutely nailed it. The lightweight and open seat are absolutely perfect for a bow hunter especially on some expansive public land. Appreciate the response though @Caeden4, good luck this year!

Good to know I’m not the only one that’s on the eastern side of the state! Appreciate the comment @mowin, good luck this year.

if you have issues getting rid of it I'll possibly take it. I'm not sure what i'd do with a 2nd one but yea. lol I love mine. screw the parts and pieces of a saddle. this is a simple setup that kills deer. for me at least.

Stay in touch, I haven’t had any takers yet! I agree on the saddle thing, I grew up using API climbers and feel so at home in one of these things (Summit now) compared to anything else. The Openshot was just not quite my style but there’s no denying it’s great at what it’s meant for.

My favorite thing about this stand is that you never have to set it on the ground because it doesn't "nest". The top sits on the bottom. So it comes off my back and right into the tree. Then I undo the straps and put the top on the tree and I'm ready to climb. Reverse when I'm leaving, I pack it all up with the platform on the tree. With the Vioer I need to find a clear spot on the forest floor to take it apart

anyhow, buy this stand. It's a gem
