  1. 1. What do you MOSTLY hunt out of?

    • I have ADHD so I can't sit still. I spot and stalk only
      0
    • From the ground without cover because I forgot it wasn't spring turkey
    • From a ground blind because heights make my knees wobble
    • Ladder Stand like an old fat man
    • Elevated Box Blind because I need to be comfy and I have some coin
    • Hang Ons because it's still the 1990's
    • Sticks and Saddle because youtube and social media suckered me in. Ask me about my high FOC setup.
    • Climber because I like saddles, but I need to pee somehow
    • The driver's seat of my pickup of course

I voted saddle, and I’m ashamed to say I did snort the Fairy dust for a bit and go high FOC. Then I missed a 25-yard chip shot on a good buck when I misjudged the distance and my rainbow-like arrow trajectory caught up to me.  Thank god social media swung back to middle of the road arrow setups so I could give up on that experiment without losing street cred.

I thought everyone hunted from an elevated redneck with heat?

Jk...in all honesty for me it's mostly ladder stands (i like to be outside and able to move more freely with no obstructions) and Secondly my redneck with heat when it gets downright nasty.

According to the mountain men of this site I’m a pretty shitty one.

I can’t run a buck to ground covering 20 miles in a day. I refuse the risk my life hanging from a tree. I need a scope these days to shoot. I hate black powder guns. Can’t pull a bow back anymore. I like modern guns. My 51 year average is one buck every 2.5 years and I generally don’t shoot does. Unless I get bored.

So in a nut shell I suck.

I've heard this more than I wish than I did. I was very close to biting the bullet and I'm not against them, but there are for sure tradeoffs with both setups.
