The Back 40
This year "we" (my wife) decided to remodel the family room and laundry room, and when I say remodel, I mean my wife watches way too much Fixer Upper on Magnolia Network and wanted to move walls, remove closets, add shiplap, pocket doors, hardwood floors, delete doors & windows and go from a double patio door to a single-entry door, which involves modifying the header. You know, a weekend project.... Well, the old walls are out, and the new walls are in. This stretch of good weather last week gave me an opportunity to remove the old double doors and window and get the new door in. Which also included repairing a bunch of water damage to the sill plate and rim joist. One door left to go and I get to start on drywall finishing, installing the new floors, trim work and hanging the new pocket door. At least the wife will be doing the painting. I don't think I'm going to be making it out for early season this year. GreeneHunter, grampy, Bolt Action and 10 others 12
mowin
Oh the joys of the DIY networks, lol. My wife watches them and says " look how easy it is". GreeneHunter, broomeguy, Rusty and 3 others 1 1
Swamp_bucks
I have a zero project start as of 9/1-1/1 unless it is absolutely necessary. Sounds like a lot of thought went into it. Looks like you have a good jump on it also Wolc123 and Belo 1

A few of the items were dependent on getting the new door in, but I knew that I needed a few clear days to get it done and the weather was not cooperating until now. Moho81
It's written in my marriage contract. "All projects are to start January Second and end by August 30th. Failure to comply may result in delays and unexpected cost increases." Caeden4, Robhuntandfish, Wolc123 and 5 others 1

Caeden4
Wow that is some (weekend) project lol at least she tells you all of it at once I guess.. mine likes to give me three new projects a week and then complain that none of them ever get finished. I told her all of her projects are on hold while I get my "office" in the woods done. She just caught on yesterday that it's not really an office lol Moho81, mowin, BowmanMike and 1 other
Lawdwaz
I just tonight finished one project…..painted the shed & attached skinning shed then added gutters and downspouts. In a couple weeks (through work) we’ll be doing 8 2nd floor new construction windows here. THEN we hunt……….. Robhuntandfish
Put in 20 more 16x16 blocks today. Also redid the fire pit as it was off just about 3" from having my blocking work out. Swept sand in the cracks and put rocks in the corners. Now just 11 more straight rows to go, setup the stock pool, paint it and build a 1/2 deck around it, some solar lights. ....rest will be a spring project for the most part. Found a stock tank and grabbed it while I could cause they are hard to find. JohnPlav
Looking good boys… we’re coming up on a year in the new house and I’ve done way less than I probably should’ve. Redid powder room, now making an entryway bench my wife wants. After hunting season we’ll add a new full bath. Should be fun. JohnPlav
The bench is oak from my parents land. Gonna add some coat hooks and paint the walls. She’s happy with it. Doebuck1234, Robhuntandfish, The Back 40 and 2 others 4
