I've got video some where of a grouse who walked right up to me. He would peck at my fingers but wouldn't  let me pet him. Pretty cool.

One of my FIL's neighbors has a grouse that comes and "visits" every time he sits for deer in one of his ground blinds. It will jump right up on his leg. he has tons of pictures of it. Grouse are weird birds.

I had one attack me while I was mountain biking many years ago. She was with young and was trying to pull me away from them by alternately attacking me and faking a broken wing which she moved from side to side which amused me.
