Swamp_bucks
Long story sorry there’s a program a women runs in my town to help get animals spade and neutered. Only thing is where they do the surgery it’s based out of Rome, Pa which is roughly an 1.5hrs from us. So even though I have covid I ran my Great Dane down to get her fixed at 7am. They came out took her and I left so I wasn’t in the office. Went back down around 3 to pick her up and my tire light comes on 3 miles from that town. so I ran to the gas station to put air in it and I could hear the air coming back out. Had a drywall screw in it. So I ran to get my dog which is a half mile away and get her in the truck head back to the gas station to the vacant lot next door to change the tire. Sure as shit soon as I get parked it starts pouring. Once I got the spare off and ready I realized my jack just couldn’t get the truck up enough for me to feel comfortable switching it out quick. this is when a gentlemen that I will admit I judged when I first saw him. Very sketchy looking person and was hesitant when he walked up. He asked if I was struggling and told him what was going on. Without any thought he popped his trunk and had a bigger jack and an impact and went to work. 10mins later truck was back ready to roll. got to speaking with him and found out he’s been stranded at this gas station for 2 days with no gas and no food and no help from anyone. So I filled up his tank and fed him and bought him a case of water for being so kind to me. We both agreed for some reason we were both meant to be at that gas station in that tiny PA town at the same time. He filled his car and we went our separate ways. Definitely had a taste of humble pie judging the young man on appearance and hate that I did. Just goes to show something’s are just meant to be. crappyice
Good on you...2 days!?!? I'm shocked in two ways: a)someone didn't call the cops on him b) someone else didn't offer a hand. Hopefully you kick started his life on the right track and changed his future. Swamp_bucks

Think he opened my eyes more. I was pissing and moaning over a tire and this guy can’t even afford to buy food from a gas station while living in his car and he was up beat and positive about the entire thing. I hope what little I helped changes his future in some little way. Gave me a wake up call that I didn’t realize I needed. crappyice and mowin 1
