Caeden4
i know everyone's hyped for the early bow deer opener tomorrow, but season opens for coyotes tomorrow too. I've been starting to hear em at night by me the last 2 weeks. Anyone planning to go after them in Oct? Versatile Hunter
mowin
Just a target of opportunity for me. It's been a couple years since I've gotten one though. Nomad, grampy, Wolc123 and 2 others

I'd take a bear or coyote. Which brings me to the question, can a bear or coyote tell that the call is coming from 20 feet up in a tree? I've called in yotes while turkey hunting with a hen yelp, but are folks able to call them in from a tree stand? You see some deer hunters bounce rattle bags on the ground with a rope from up in a tree to ensure bucks hear the sound coming from below... The terrain where i hunt is all hills though, so -at least from a bit of a distance- i would guess that they wouldnt think twice about the sound coming from above them but would probably assume its just further up the hill than it really was. Usually I'll wait until they are 60+ yards out before I call, and a lot of times they will walk straight at ya. I've had them turn and run away to. Lil zeek
Me and my dad hunt coyotes pretty regularly. Might go out for tomorrow night for a local place. We hunt at night, I have a night vision, my dad has a thermal and a thermal scanner that is in the repair shop right now. But we love hunting them, they are very smart ( most of em) and fun to get going at night. I can’t wait to hear them going off again at our caller. mowin, Versatile Hunter, grampy and 1 other 2

I went night hog hunting a couple of years back and we used pulsars. They’re awesome. It’s a toy I want but I just can’t justify the purchase. We’ve seen a ton of inflation the last 3.8 years, which has made lots of unnecessary stuff unaffordable. Many are struggling just to put groceries on the table. It isn’t inflation that’s holding me back. Rather, just trying to follow the Lord’s guidance, as voiced by His Apostles. It may be time you pick up the Good Book again. I’ll direct you to Luke 12, for tonight’s reading.
ChevyZr297
Probably get out next week in the evenings and scout a bit. Then hopefully try out my AGM Rattler V2. Caeden4 and Lil zeek
Wolc123
Forgot about coyote season opening. I was going to bring my .410, squirrel hunting over at my parents this weekend, because that is more effective on them when there is so many leaves yet up on the tree. I would rather have my .22 , if I run into any coyotes. Caeden4, ChevyZr297 and Lil zeek
Trial153
I shoot them over a bait pile from my house, also on the farm from the farm house. I have cell cam set at each location. Home I use a 22 mag, shoots are close. I avg about three or four a year. Lil zeek, ChevyZr297, BAS and 1 other 4 You could leave life right now.
