Popular Post grampy
We had an old shed by the barn we didn't need any longer. So my hunting partner figured we should have a hunting hut! He moved it into place today. 8X10 is plenty of room! We just have to get some plexiglass for the windows and good to go! It's surrounded on three sides with food plots. The small ridge in the background is a thick bedding area, that we never go in. Below that, next to the woodline, is a strip of swamp. Late season, this is always a hot spot for bucks. Some of the best we've gotten over the years have been near this area. I'm so blessed to have this land to hunt, and my lifelong friend, as my hunting partner. Been a real tough summer. But fall is looking up! Bolt Action
Looks like a great setup Grampy. How far is it from the hut to the trees?
mowin
I'd love to have one, but the landowners are not too keen on them. It's probably a good thing, because it would be too comfortable not to hunt it all the time.

A little under 300 yards. Very doable with our 270s rested on the shelf. Also he used 6x6 beams for the foundation. That will be fine for this year. Next year we will block it up just a bit. You'll have a new bear skin to snuggle in soon. Also want to add that this spot is about three quarters of a mile from the frontage road. So the deer feel pretty secure back there. mowin, Rusty, GreeneHunter and 1 other

BAS Posted yesterday at 11:23 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:23 AM Nice set up. My neighbor has a couple of similar blinds and they work great. grampy
