I'm sure most of us have grown up shooting BB and pellet guns in .177 or .22 cal.  I had a 1940's brass barrel Benjamin air .177 air rifle.

My first squirrel, chipmunk and rabbit were taken with that old pump gun.

Wish I still had it today.  I'm not sure what actually happened to that air rifle, but I would love to have another one.

Crossman 760     .177 or bb……pellets were way too slow to monkey with.

Many a critter fell to that weapon.   Pop cans abd soup cans were perforated on a daily basis.  Joyful times.

Red rider, then graduated to a crosman.

Red rider would barely penetrate through paper 😂

The new “made in China” ones pack a little more punch.  I cut suspended beer cans in half with mine, off the deck, for target practice.

Buddy had one of those " top of the line" weapons, lol. We would battle back and forth about who was the better shot.

He would bash my 1940's pump against his 760.

He would win. Only because he could pump 2-3 times, vrs my 4-6 pumps as the seals were far from factory, lol.

Daisy Red Ryder, I vaguely remember taking it rabbit hunting with my dad when I was very young.

I had some kind of multi pump Crosman when I was older. My brother and I discovered that you could break toothpicks off in the chamber and shoot them at each other…

Crosman pistol style bb gun in the early 90s. Promptly demolished my mom's bird feeder 😆

Was that the pump pistol?  If so I think I still have mine.

We’re lucky we made it out of childhood relatively unscathed. I think I have the worst carryover injury out of my siblings after taking a yoyo to the mouth and taking out 80% of my front tooth. They were able to fill it fortunately, no partial for me.

I don’t recall them being too expensive?  $35 maybe in the early 70’s……I’d don’t really remember.   O ly BB gun I ever owned and I took pretty good care of it.

My dad had a BB lodged next to his eye.  He made all of us feel the BB and then tell us how him and his brother were playing cowboy and Indians and how his brother got his ass beat because of it. Lol.  I'll never forget the feeling of my of my finger rolling that BB through his skin next to his eye.

I think so. Push the barrel end to open the hole that takes the bbs then pull back the top part to get the pressure. Sometimes bb didn't come out after pulling trigger. Had to rattle the gun some to get a bb in position to fire.

My dad had a cool CO2 crosman .177 revolver. Very accurate and fun to shoot until out of gas.
