virgil Posted October 6 Posted October 6 No idea how. But, I seemed to get two entry wounds from one shot. if anyone has an explanation, I’d love to hear it. The deer was slightly quartered to, and may have turned more in reaction to the shot. Exit wound was low and rear- guts were hanging out. Lil zeek, Mattypotpie8s, crappyice and 2 others 4 1

If she was running really hard I guess she could have ripped it open on a stick or something. That would be impressive but I have shot them and when running they have ripped their ear. cervidchasers 1

My guess is it went in the 1st hole and one of the blades sliced the other spot wide open before it went into the body cavity. dbHunterNY, virgil and G-man 2 1

I was wondering if the exit had the same cut as the entrance or was it missing a blade in the exit cut. How that blade that popped loose did what it sit, who the hell knows

How that blade that popped loose did what it sit, who the hell knows The exit was a low and back- the intestines were outside the body. The arrow and broadhead were in perfect condition. I didn’t look closely at the exit wound because it was warm out and I wanted to get the deer out of the woods and cut up as quickly as possible. I use a two blade mechanical. Wonder if one blade made the forward cut and caused the arrow to take a sharper angle to make the second entrance hole and exit low and back. Or it deflected off the shoulder blade and headed back.
