Robhuntandfish Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) Ive got a large deer blind that i dont really use. Well cause its so large. But it is the perfect color for the swamp and am thinking i might be able to use for a duck blind and leave my decoys in it. Obviuosly cant shoot overhead but am thinking sitting shooting should have a decent area to shoot. Note: total duck novice here. Just trying to get into it for next year after deer gun season for a day or two. mowin Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) Brush it in with natural stuff and try it. I like using stuff I already own for purposes they were not really intend for opposed to buying something new. As you mentioned, your going to limit your shooting radius in that blind, but it may work out ok. I've only duck hunted a few times with some buddies and we just stuffed the boat in the weeds. Had a great time. Edited January 4, 2023 by mowin Robhuntandfish 1
Bucksnbows Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Set it up, sit in it with an unloaded shotgun, and practice swinging on “birds”. You will know the answer in seconds. mowin, Doebuck1234 and Robhuntandfish 3 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board

Pygmy Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Trying to swing on a duck from inside that blind would be like trying to flycast for trout from inside an outhouse....<<grin>>..... Joe T and Robhuntandfish 1 1
