Ok I have a question.   What part of all that paper work is our “license” for hunting or fishing?   Tags I obviously understand but what about the license? And what are we required to carry? TIA I’ll hang up and listen.

I have the lifetime license card so I just carry that, but the paper with all the tags on it should also have your license itself - The part where it needs a signature. I think you can also just have the app on your phone bc it's accessible on there

I'm carrying my tags, and my phone. I'll show them a pic of my license if they insist.  Not sure what we are legally required to carry?

Hypothetically you’re fishing…….now what ?

No way are we required to carry an 8.5 x 11 (suitable for framing) piece of paper along when pursuing the wary trout or plentiful pan fish.

I have my CT and NY main hunting/fishing license page/receipt saved as favorite in photos. They are the only 2 favorites so easy to find if asked

When I got my tags printed, there was one sheet with all the tags. A separate sheet which lists all you purchased. Like fishing, hunting, bow and such. I just cut that part out, and put it in my wallet like I always have.

Cut all tags out and put them in plastic "ID badge holders" here.Folded up liscence paper and shoved it in one. They now sit in a zip lock baggie in my hunting pack.Downloaded the app for quick access too incase something got ruined/easy reporting of a tag.

When I'm fishing I'm not going to bother taking liscence out of pack as I'll prob forget to put it right back in there:D

I needed to show my license when applying for a Fire Island National Seashore hunting permit.  The nice thing about it is that it also has your HIP number printed right on it.
