GreeneHunter Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Well anyone using an old or new TV antenna instead of having Cable ? I and a couple others cleaned out our Veterans Post 2 weeks ago and there was a Flat Screen TV there in perfect working condition ! Nobody wanted it so I put it in a small apartment we have over the garage where there is no cable (and I'm not getting any installed ), I'm just wondering if anyone suggests one of those new / newer Antenna's that get the basic channels ?
broomeguy Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 I have the 6 pronged one that is for outdoor use. Your local Walmart likely carries it. They also have an indoor model but only picks up a few channels vs the ~20 channels that i get with the outdoor model.
Robhuntandfish Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 I've got one for the local news. I get quite a few channels on it. If weather is too bad it will cut out the signal, but most of the time it comes in great. I get all the Syracuse stations. nywaw Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 If you have cable see if your provider has an app. I can connect my tvs via WiFi and then use the cable app to watch the channels. Works good. GreeneHunter 1
