I was at the TSC up in Governor on Monday and they had $ 20 off on 2-man pop up blinds.  Not a bad deal for $49.  My wife bought me one just like it at ALDIs about 10 years ago and it held up pretty good until a severe wind storm took it away a couple years ago.  They also had original Hot-seats for $9.99 and a pretty good deal on scent free soap and deoderant.

I’m in it now and tonight will be my last hunt out of it up north on this trip.  Unfortunately, I spooked a large bodied deer on my walk in about 30 minutes ago that was standing about 50 yards from it.  Hopefully it, or a less wary one comes back before 20 minutes pst sunset.  That’s when it gets too dark to see the crosshairs on my scope.

I’m trying to decide where to set it up at home next week, for the crossbow opener next Saturday.  I’m leaning towards the middle of a dried, standing sweetcorn patch, just to the east of a fresh winter wheat/white clover/awp plot.

If I get it up Monday afternoon, hopefully the deer will be use to it by Saturday.  I have no other blinds or stands within crossbow range of that plot and I’m guessing the deer are starting to hit the awp pretty hard about now.

I will cut enough stalks to set it up and shooting lanes.  I’ll use those for porch decorations (will make my wife happy).
