Testing out the slow and unstable free internet that the cabin supposedly has.

Sitting in front of this reflecting. Also testing the slow motion option for the GIF.

Saw three deer hunting which is more then usual up here. Saw a ton of turkeys as usual, and enjoyed some fishing too on this trip. Would have been great to fill a tag but I'm happy I actually saw a good buck in the woods up here.

Heading home tomorrow from a good week.

What town are you near ?  We are up near ft Drum, on the nw corner of the park, and the cell reception is quite good.  I’m also heading back home to wny tomorrow, but squeezing in 95 minutes of hunting tonight, and 120 or so in the morning.

Ive seen (8) deer, since last Saturday, but could only put antlers on one for sure (small half-tame 6 point). Missed a big doe early in the week (I think), probably due to a branch strike.

No punched tags but only because I f’d up there, and a couple other times by scaring off deer that got in close without being able to get off a shot.

That’s about the most deer I’ve seen up here on this trip in the last 12 years.  A little odd, because I saw none last year, most likely because there was many acres of standing corn within a few miles (there’s none of that nearby this year).

All of the deer action, except one I spooked next to my blind walking in an hour before sunset yesterday, was within a half hour of sunrise or sunset. No turkeys but I did see one ruffed grouse.

Im looking forward to getting home to see my wife and kids and will be somewhat relieved to still have both of my buck tags.  At least I’ll have one to use at home, during crossbow , starting next Saturday.  Two more hunts up here to get thru before I’ll know on my gun buck tag though.

Have a safe drive home, and good luck with the rest of the season.

Thank you and I hope you get home safe and sound as well.

There were three does feeding in someone's front yard while I was driving back to the cabin yesterday.

Back home now and there's still a lot of leaves on the trees in this part of the NZ.
