Just got home from urgent care. Tore a muscle in my right side calf. Crutches and take it easy for two weeks. Said no hunting, but we'll see how I feel Friday night. Already limited on days out so I might just hobble into the woods Saturday anyway.

Surgery?

Stitches?

Cast?

Boot?

Walker?

Wheelchair?

Heal up and get out there!

Damn that stinks.  Hope you heal up quickly.

Got a ATV to get you close to a stand or two.

No ATV here. I have a spot on the private land we hunt that's only a few hundred yards from where we park, the spot I let a big 6 go last year. We'll see how it feels Friday night.

Wheelchair would have been nice, I could roll through the woods after putting some knobb tires on it.

Thanks guys. I'm seriously more upset about screwing up a week or two for the wife then myself.

Thanks for the update.  Don't push it too much, you don't want to polong the healing process.

Biz dropped all alcohol to speed his recovery.  Maybe that's a secret remedy?

Get well, with or without.

Good Luck @DirtTime. I did drop alcohol and healthy doses of my multivitamin and D3 and Calcium (Citrcal) that I take with dinner with fat. Lots of pub med studies out there showing great effects of taking calcium and d3 for 3 months after a fracture. I'm 6 weeks ahead of healing schedule at 40 years old (not 18), so I'm not stopping anytime soon.
