DirtTime Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Just got home from urgent care. Tore a muscle in my right side calf. Crutches and take it easy for two weeks. Said no hunting, but we'll see how I feel Friday night. Already limited on days out so I might just hobble into the woods Saturday anyway. Red, grampy, fletchny11 and 7 others 4 1 4 1

Heal up and get out there! DirtTime 1

Otto Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Biz dropped all alcohol to speed his recovery. Maybe that's a secret remedy? Get well, with or without. DirtTime 1

I have a spot on the private land we hunt that's only a few hundred yards from where we park, the spot I let a big 6 go last year. We'll see how it feels Friday night. 2 hours ago, Lawdwaz said: Surgery? Stitches? Cast? Boot? Walker? Wheelchair? Heal up and get out there! Wheelchair would have been nice, I could roll through the woods after putting some knobb tires on it. Thanks guys. I'm seriously more upset about screwing up a week or two for the wife then myself. mowin 1

I did drop alcohol and healthy doses of my multivitamin and D3 and Calcium (Citrcal) that I take with dinner with fat. Lots of pub med studies out there showing great effects of taking calcium and d3 for 3 months after a fracture. I'm 6 weeks ahead of healing schedule at 40 years old (not 18), so I'm not stopping anytime soon. DirtTime 1
