He was a Big Time Turkey Hunter as well- although mostly an illegal one after his Legal Birds were taken. He worked with me in a Warehouse. He was willing to talk and,I was willing to Listen. He would be in his mid- 60s today. He told me that he would Trespass on a Private Farm of less then 500 Acres where the Landowner did not grant Hunting Rights to anyone. With plenty of Farms around this one. Now this Guy- Ted was his name was within walking distance. He Hunted Turkeys with a Crossbow and a Wingbone on that Farm. Mostly just Single Clucks. Over a 5 year Period He killed over 100 Turkeys- Spring + Fall. Like,I wrote- he was willing to talk and,I was willing to listen. Never got caught and he said no one had a clue. I would say he went 145lbs at 5'8". Kind of Wiry/Muscular. The kind of Man who never tires out. Today- hopefully he hunts just Legally. He knows there are Trail Cameras everywhere on Public here in New York. He did not see any where he poached. You can't take a piss without someone getting a Notification these days. Crossbow Ted. I did a Thread on him a good 5 years back on the old site. Thought,I would Share. HeavyUser 1 Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge.
lucky118 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I just thought it was funny the reporter said the turkeys were grazing on the grass. I've never heard anyone ever refer to turkey grazing on grass. blackbeltbill 1

This turkey hunter, a man of great skill, Poached on a private farm, with no one to spill. For five long years, he hunted without a care, Killing over a hundred, with his crossbow there. Though wiry and muscular, never out of breath, He evaded detection, a master of stealth. Now, in the age of trail cams, he hunts with more care, Knowing the eyes are watching, he can't do as he dare. A tale of Crossbow Ted, a poacher's life, A story to remember, a cautionary strife. Edited November 8 by HeavyUser Arcade Hunter and NYRturkeycall 1 1

I actually wrote a Little Hunting Poem Book many years ago. Had around just 220,I believe printed out. Wrote the manuscript out with a Pen just like my 3 Books before my last one. And had it Self Published. Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge.
