Herd Buck Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I bought a cabin in NY and the prior owner left his elk mount and doesn’t want it, I’m looking to sell it or donate the mount with a cash contribution to my hunting fund it’s in great condition and beautiful Mount make an offer. ATbuckhunter, Red, mowin and 1 other 4
Ausable Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Not a bad bull , do a Google search there might be someone who would take it for the horns to make jewelry
2BuckBizCT Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Good luck. Try Nextdoor app, Facebook marketplace or any local archery/gun shops?
Wolc123 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I’d be interested if it was a moose but never cared much for elk mounts.
Ausable Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I'd concider taking it but I'm still trying to find room for the last 5 of 18 mounts we currently have

I don't have any and don't ever plan on it either. I've donated horns b4 for free. All the rest go into a barrel or bin. But awesome display. Edited November 11 by Redneck4Life To add
Ausable Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) Those are only one room, I have dozens more throughout The house and garage. If I never kill. Another big game animal with horns in my lifetime It won't phase me, we do an archery hunt in Colorado and Montana, every year for cow elk and anterless deer for the freezers but once our tags are filled it's upland game and waterfowl. For the rest of the season been that way for the last 6-7 yrs big game hunting Just doesn't get me excited anymore. And yes, we have thousands of dollars, invested in big game , small game upland birds predators, and waterfowl mounts Edited November 11 by Ausable Redneck4Life, 2BuckBizCT and cervidchasers 3
cervidchasers Posted November 11 Posted November 11 I can always ask my local range/club if they will take it and in exchange give you something for it. Where is it located?
Ausable Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Over the next few years most of the mounts will come off the walls the horns will be cut off and sold to dealers in Montana & Wyoming that buy them by the pound to make jewelry, trinkets, chandeliers, furniture and gifts for tourist only a, select few will be kept. cervidchasers and Redneck4Life 1 1
Ausable Posted November 11 Posted November 11 My father told me I'd hit a point in life where the thrill. Of killing a big racked buck or bull wouldn't be such an adrenaline rush, he was right I've hit that point in life. Redneck4Life 1

It’s going to be first come, first served with my buck tags, from here on out. Ausable 1
