sbuff Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) Man have I been behind on the times or have encore frames and barrels always been sky high . I wonder now that TC is starting back up if the prices will come down some . Edited November 18, 2024 by sbuff
Splitear Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 They are astronomical. Since they are not made any more, guys are buying anything and everything encore. It will be into see what TC churns out in the next few years. Unless they start making systems that work with the encore/contender, I would imagine they will stay where they are at or higher. LET EM GROW 1
mowin Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Ya, it's crazy. Thinking about selling my pro hunter with 7-08 and 50cal ML barrels.

Had the TC scope and a soft case. Shot a few deer with it. Another firearm I really wish I had. Bought a used hunter package in 35 rem a few yrs after selling my 7-30w, and sold that one also. cervidchasers 1
The Back 40 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 (edited) When I was in high school I worked at Herb Phillipson's and had a guy come in and order 45-75 gov. ammo When they came I asked the guy what the hell he used them for, hunting elephant? and he showed me his TC Contender. I've loved those guns ever since that day. Edited November 19, 2024 by The Back 40 mowin, cervidchasers and Doebuck1234 3

I'm betting they'll start making that platform again. I wouldn't mind getting one if they do. We have to wait till January to find out what they plan on releasing though mowin and cervidchasers 2

Splitear Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 They better get a move on if they are going to relaunch the Encore in Fall of 2024 Thanks for sharing the article. All of the Traditional ML guys are begging for a sidelock, but I doubt that TC will get back into that game (despite saying that they have plans). It's just a small and continually shrinking market dominated by low cost guns (Traditions) mid-range guns from Italy (still costing more than $1000), and high end builders. If they do bring back their Hawken I'm going to guess it will be a "Special Edition" collectors piece bringing a good sized price tag.
sbuff Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 A 1984 hawken kit gun would be splendid , I still have hope they do too

Very happy I'm wrong on this
