Traps came! Took em to the car wash & now the coni’s are sitting in some hot dawn water. Do you guys wax your water footholds (beaver coil springs & 1 1/2s for rat floats & pocket sets)? I didn’t wax my beaver foot holds last year and they were fine..

Just got my stuff out last night. Spent 30 minutes trying to find my box of footholds. Turns out I put them in the nice sturdy box my chainsaw came in and forgot about it. Getting old is funny. I'm still organized, but forget about what I did with my organized stuff.

Always late to the party because of deer season, but plan to get sets out hopefully next week for coon and yotes. Someday when life slows down I'd like to get after some beaver too.

It’s all fun but playing around in the water and mud for rats and beaver is a blast. Only downside? Beavers are heavy lol

Our season open in NJ on the 26th. You have to have won a beaver permit by lottery which I did. Scouted yesterday and found a river with good beaver sign. It’ll be my first attempt. You can only set 5 traps total. I have 4 Belisle 330’s and some cable restraints. I’ll have to decide what will be best for the sets I make. Enjoying following your thread.

Good luck. You live a town away is all. Lots of beaver near us.

Yep I’ve found quite a few so I have a few different options. Not sure how many others will be targeting the same areas so I wanted to be able to move around if needed.

Hey Mattypotpie8s…… I hope you relocate the Wood duck box. I looks like a great box. 👍🏼

Can’t touch it, it’s public. They’ve got the things everywhere which is nice to see.

Got the 110s back out tonight, 10 of them. There’s beaver there too but can’t set for them, too iced up.  There’s a cross over there that I’m guessing would be a 100%er if it was open water. Got 1 customer on the walk out
