DirtTime Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Looking for someplace to hunt the late holiday season. I really don't want to drive the hour and a half back to the old AO, so I'm thinking of either Carters Pond WMA or Washington County Grasslands WMA. I'm not asking for detailed information, just curious about these two areas for deer hunting and if they get crowded that late in the seasons. This year sort of got away from me in preparation for the Holiday Hunting Season so I didn't get any boots on the ground scouting.
ATbuckhunter Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I think in general very few places are crowded late season

I'll probably check both out, but that Washington County Grasslands closes part of the forest after 12/1 to protect raptors that nest there. Doesn't make sense to me but I don't make the silly NY rules but I do follow them.
2BuckBizCT Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 What town are you in? I might be able to suggest a spot
DirtTime Posted November 27, 2024 Author Posted November 27, 2024 I already have the spots, I was just asking if anyone could fill be in on pressure or how crowded they are for the late ML and Holiday Season.
