sbuff Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 What would one consider average miles per year for an ATV ?

Mine is a 2019 and it only has 130 miles. But I mainly use it on my 8a. Someone who trail several times a yr could rack up a couple thousand a yr. Just casual use I'd say 250m a yr would be a place to start. Lawdwaz 1
Lawdwaz Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 Not many on mine either......maybe 120 miles in two years. Shameful really.
Buckmaster7600 Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 2020 Kodiak with 2100 miles. my 15 foreman had 5100 when I sold it. I would not buy a wheeler from me. They get used and abused daily. mowin and Bionic 2
Bionic Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 My atv is 2007 has 1100 miles, my 2021 UTV has 1700 in change. mowin 1

Moog5050 Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 I use mine primarily for working around the property and hauling deer. Not much trail riding. I have less than 300 miles on my 2018.
sbuff Posted January 8, 2023 Author Posted January 8, 2023 I just looked ,2015 Polaris sportsman 570 . 900 miles but I know I put on about 200 at super dirt week the past three years

ATVs run literally all 12 Months in Sterling Forest State Park especially where $450,000+ Mcmansions have back yards annexed to the State Land. It is illegal to drive on the Woodsroads- but that is just a word. Please, let's try and stay focused on the OP's thread title "Average Miles Per Year.......". No sense mucking it up with your rants. LET EM GROW Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 My 98 Foreman S is a trip shy of 10,000 miles.. Still enough compression it will rip your shoulder out if you don't pull at the right stroke.. lol. Very very little maintenance or repair done. Voltage regulator, New ignition(My fault) Oil Temp sensor, and hard wired the fan to run all the time. Just took the original muffler off this fall due to the baffles breaking and blocking exhaust, killing the power. That is all. My 02 Foreman ES has 3,500 miles on it, and has had a few things done to it Will be getting a new Rubicon or Pioneer this Summer to add to the fleet. As for normal or average miles per year.. Depends on what the machine has done its entire life.. My 98 we purchased from RG&E with 2,500miles on it about 20 years ago. It was one of their machines for running up and down Power lines
G-man Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I would say i average 1200 a year pretty easy just running around the property checking cameras 40 weeks out of the year.
2BuckBizCT Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 (edited) 2016 Honda with 68 miles on it. Still original battery (on a tender). I ride it down the street and back every 7-10 days. It dragged one deer out in 2016 (the first off my Dad’s land) and none since. We don’t really hunt near the trails, so we just drag the 1/2 mile instead. No snow this year so haven’t put the plow to a real test yet besides 2-3” on 12/11 Edited February 7, 2023 by 2BuckBizCT
