No christmas tree as of right now . We're waiting to close on a house so we didn't put one up in our current house . Hopefully by the end of next week we can get the keys to the new joint.

Congratulations!!! That's a great Christmas present there!

We do 2...Mrs. likes her real Fraser fir catalogue looking/outdoor/deer tree and then we have the fake family tree the kids decorate with us. It's real fun to smile at each ornament that one of us puts up and my wife and I remember where we got it from or what it was for. Every ornament on that family tree has a special meaning. Always fun playing find the ornament with a fire and hot chocolate. Angel on the family tree has been with us since the year me and my wife started dating 12 years ago.

The first one looks like a lot of history there.

I was wondering who bought the house for sale on my street so quickly. Pumped to be neighbors and drag deer together!

There definitely is. There's some goodies tucked away in the back. Also. The majority are happy and there's some heartaches in there like our pups and family that we've lost... But no matter what it always makes us smile or remember. And as we get older and build more memories and keep sharing the stories year after year, hopefully this will instill this tradition in our girls so they can continue it one day with their families in one way or another.

Same.  My dad's recruitment pic is on our tree as well as many of the ornaments mom's kids ( teachers aid) gave her.  Our tree topper is a replacement mom and dad got when my oldest brother was born.   Lots of history, lots of love.

I was trying to push the closing date out as long as possible so you'd be healed up enough to help carry all the heavy stuff.

Ours is hopefully going up this weekend... No it has to go up this weekend, or I'll be divorced.

Ours went up Thanksgiving Day, along with all the indoor and outdoor lights. I just smiled and wished I still drank.
