Moog5050 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 So I did just the opposite of my norm. I usually buy the top of the line ie most costly product and go with it. I figure then I won’t be disappointed. On the new sissy truck I tried the Oedro trifold hard cover for the bed. It was on black Friday sale for $399 shipped. My last few pick up covers were all over $1000. So I took a chance and at least initially think it’s a great deal. Solid, easy on and off , and good rain/water gaskets. I think normal price is in the $560 range and even then it seems a steal to me. No more bakflip $1000 plus pickup bed cover products. lol. The bakflip might be slightly lower profile and fold down a bit tighter but not 2-3 times better for the cost. letting you all know if you are looking. Doubt you will be disappointed. Chef Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I'm actually more of a fan of the roll up soft covers. I surf fish a ton and the tri fold won't allow me to put an 11 ft rod back there without taking it off
ZAG Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 My f-250 came with a soft cover. Never had one in the past. Have enjoyed it but it’s kinda noisy at times so I’ll probably go hard cover at some point. Side note, sons tikka got it done again! E J, Moog5050 and Lawdwaz 3

But even a long rod you could just leave the last part unsecured and let the rod stick out couldn’t you? Rob-c 1

I guess I could, i usually open the back window and stick the rod into the truck as opposed to having it hang out the back of the bed

Ive ran the same extang aluminum trifold on both my 07 and now my 14 f150 for like 14 years now . Its been bullet proof . Only thing I've done is , i just replaced the weather striping over the summer that seals it to the box when closed . I leave my hunting gear in my bed all season , safe, dry and secure .. Moog5050 1
mowin Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 I've always liked the roll up covers. Easy, secure and affordable.
