New to the area and looking for a big woods Adirondack hunting area . Been looking at areas nearby on onX and saw that chateguay woodlands LLC has some large parcels and wondered if any of this is open for public hunting?

Welcome to NYW&W.  We've got quite a few members that hunt the dacks.  I'm sure some will pop in soon.

Not sure about that area. Think most of it is leased out to hunting camps by big logging companies. The wolf pond road in Standish has alot of hunting camps if you'd like to join just go up on a Saturday I'm sure you'll find one looking for members. In chazy lake there's chazy highlands that has a big chunk of state land to hunt. Outside of Standish on true brook rd there's the sable highlands Lyon mountain tract. Then down the rd is Barnes pond stateland. There's alot of state land it's about how far you want to venture in Clinton Essex franklin counties. Don't know much about st Lawrence. I also believe there are a few places in Ellensburg ny and chazy ny is lake Alice. Good luck.
