Man we were down to bare payment yesterday and just got unloaded on today. Pinned down with a travel ban and this lake effect snow band is parked over us for the next 6+ hours. Some areas getting 6" an hour.....local deer population is back to struggle mode.

Good Lord that's a lot of snow.

That reminds me of the blizzard of 1996. Since I haven't skied or snowboarded in a long time, I do not envy any of that. At least that neighborhood looks pancake flat. wouldn't be much fun otherwise

Thank God it's flat for the most part. I live about 500 yards from Lake Erie as the crow flies so we are getting dumped on as I type. Schools are closed again tomorrow since I'll take most of the day to clean up roads and parking lots. Headed back out and 8 to keep the driveway open....deer season will be on hold until the holiday hunt i am guessing.

My brother in Adams center just got all his roof cleaned off and is supposed to get another foot and a half.  Tug hill snowmobilers will be happy.  You guys in those extreme snow belts are tough.  Ground is bare here off Oneida lake.

Damn, we just missed it at home up in northern Erie county.  Just a light dusting this morning.  Plowing snow is one of my favorite winter activities.  Just (2) 6” plowings, so far this winter, over a week ago.

I actually bought the smallest tractor that money can buy (10 hp Farmall Cub), just to max out my “seat  time” on the lighter snowfalls.

No snow at home, but I’ll get to see some driving up north, to the in-laws, tomorrow.  Our last trip up there got snowed out on Thanksgiving weekend when they got about 40”.  It looks like they are north of the heavy Big O lake effect accumulations this time, but at least I’ll get to drive thru it on rt 81, on the way up.

Northern part of Monroe County,  just along the lakeshore - haven't had to shovel yet.  A few dustings, but that's the extent of snow fall so far.  Supposed to be upper 40s today..
