So I have been driving Rams for the last. 15 years. I have always liked them but I put a ton of miles on my trucks. Currently driving a 2019 with 170k on it

I am starting to look for a new truck and am thinking about a Tundra Limited. Any thoughts on the Tundra or any suggestions?

I am hoping to push this next truck beyond 200k

All 5 guys at work that own 24 tundras have had major engine issues. I wouldn’t get a tundra until they get their new V6 figured out.

I’m a ford guy, the 3.5 eco boost is an awesome motor! I’ve owned 3 of them and although I’m in a 23 F250 I’m looking at getting back into another 150 with the 3.5.

my BIL loves his so far, but he is constantly selling and buying something else, so he doesnt care about the longevity

Yeah that’s a tough one to look past!

Ive always been a ford truck guy myself. I have a F-250 powerstroke now and it’s freaking fantastic. Super fun to drive, I had no idea how fun it would be. U will upgrade ur man card no doubt and you will get hundreds of thousands of miles outta it!

I like my Chevy Tahoe Z71.  With kids wish I had a little more room.  Was thinking Suburban next but that Excursion will definitely be checked out!

I ain’t bought a new pickup yet this millennium, but the last two I bought, from the last one (3/4 ton Chevys with 6 liter engines), are still going strong:

My last three trucks have been Fords. Personal opinion I like the interior of the fords the best and the door key pad is so convenient for hunting camping fishing golfing etc. from the half ton side of things the V6 turbos are pretty amazing. A lot power and good gas milage from a truck. I had the 2.7 twin turbo and got 18 MPG’s combined driving. If you want more towing and payload capacity either the 3.5 or the 5.0 V8 would fit the bill.

Within the last couple years, but they both look the same now.  The 4x4 saw all 24 of the winters in upstate NY and needed some frame repair.  The extended cab has only seen the last (5) up here and is all original.  It spent the first 19 winters in FL, and I’ve treated it with Carwell every other winter that I’ve had it up here.

I drive a beater car to work and am constantly hauling with my truck. My regular loads are at the upper limit of a half ton and keep going back and forth between half and 3/4 tons. I work with 200 guys and there’s probably 100 pickups  in the parking lot daily with the majority being less than 3 yrs old. If you’re not hauling much the 4 cyl gm’s seem to be bullet proof. The fords seem really good both v6’s and the 5.0. The new straight 6 ram motor seems ok as well.

If I was putting as  many miles on as you are I would look hard at gm’s little duramax diesel. The guys at work that have them get crazy mileage and have had good luck with them.

My brother has one of those new little gm diesels and he really likes it.  He’s had it about a year and a half and puts lots of miles on it, running back and forth from wny to Alex bay, almost every weekend.
