billey100 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 My son who is 15 is into all things hunting and fishing. He wants to give waterfowl Taxidermy a go as a hobby so we are getting him a few things for xmas. I just now found out that a wheel is super helpful but the prebuilt ones are north of $250> found a few videos where people make their own fleshing machines so we may go that route. Outside of the bird kit we ordered from Matuska any recommendations on some time saving tools? Probably get a really good sharp replaceable blade knife or scalpel and some game shears t go along with it. He understands that it's going to take a lot of birds as practice but his goal is to one day mount his first banded mallard when he gets good enough.
