I was doing a little last minute Christmas shopping at Tractor Supply and I ended up getting myself a present. They had the Reveal 2-pack of Gen 3 cameras that are regularly $229.99 on sale for $184.99.

Nice!  I see their website has the full price listed, so maybe something you need to be in a store to get?

Keep your eye on eBay too, lot of the NJW&W members have been grabbing the 3.0 PROs there.

Wow! Those are great prices for the 3.0 Pro’s! I would much rather have the Pro models, as they have the screens. Regular price is $149 each for the Pro's, so getting 2 for $175 is quite a deal!

Was a TSC Thursday, and they were the normal price.  Had 3 packages left. Might have to go tomorrow morning and see if they dropped the price.

I picked up several two-packs of the 3.0 Pro for $160 apiece on eBay (lowest I see is $174 now). Keep your eyes open; there are deals to be had.

But remember to test them out before storing them for the offseason. I haven't gotten a dud yet, but I know it can happen. With Tactacam, they don't refund $ for cancelling a camera, so if you activate one early in the billing cycle just to test it out, you pay for the whole month. However, if you have an existing plan, since their billing regiment synchronizes all of your cameras, adding new cameras at the end of the month can be really cheap: I think I paid a pro-rated 73 cents apiece to test my new cameras for a day at home, then I simply inactivated them prior to the start of the new cycle until next year.

So far the battery life on these been pretty terrible for me.   I will either have to run external batteries or move them out

Don't they claim improved battery life?  

Going later to see if TSC has them on sale.  I've got a gen 1 and a X that are acting up that need replacing.  I do run external battery packs.

they always do however, it’s not always the case. 

The two Gen 3s i have aren’t lasting more than a month and they aren’t really in high traffic spots.  Maybe 200  pictures a month or so
