Anybody been out?

Heading out in the morning for my 3rd trip so far. Hoping for a walleye lake to be ready if not I’ll be continuing north after trout and salmon. Going to be a quick trip because I have to be back for the family Christmas dinner. 
 

Anyone else been out yet? No better time than early ice!

I wanted to go out to a small lake nearby. But just couldn't make it due to family obligations. If the Temps stay cold, I'll probably venture out shortly after the New Year.

We are getting teased in SE with a week of 30s, then a week of 40s to make whatever skim ice shows up go away. It's been two (maybe three?) winters without safe ice down here

The lake up at the in-laws on the NW corner of the Adirondack park froze over while we were up there last weekend.  Not sure how thick it is now, because it warmed up a bit above freezing for a few days after we left.

I guess we got good ice on bay rouses point to alburg Kelly's bay. I will be out with friends out on edge of ice here soon

I was up your way last week fishing. Not on the big lake but heard there was guys fishing it.

Yea lost my fishing partner last year. We'd be out on 1 1/2 on deep bay. Been out once since losing him. He was old school. Knew everything about the lake and killing big bucks. Plus a correction officer 30 years and never know it. Never brought job home. Plus did construction and installing pools on side. God bless him Mark Liberty.

A friend of mine was out in the Champlain Islands earlier in the week in his boat.  Hadn't heard of any safe ice on the big lake, but guys are hitting a few ponds.

Has ice I go out to edge of main lake open water to fish I'm crazy lol. Been through before. But still fishing need people  with me now.
