Doebuck1234 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Quit smoking, had a date in mind(my father's birthday in February) and haven't had a cigarette sence.i do use zyn(nicotine) pouches which takes the edge off,not convinced they are any better obviously.Made a difference for sure, don't get winded, don't hack for 20 mins straight in the morning🤣 New resolution is slow down on my drinking/quit(drinking and high BP runs in family).use the workout equipment I have in basement to drop some weight and get in better shape.Working out should help with that situation Next Time, Robhuntandfish, Wolc123 and 3 others 6

Its amazing how quickly your body appreciates some good changes. Keep it going. I need to get back to my "no free food" diet! In other words don't eat all the extra breakfasts and lunches and snacks provided at work or the crap that my wife is always bringing home (cookies, extra pizza, etc-she works in a church/school too). And to throw out all the crap she bought for the kids when they go back to school. Regular day: coffee, water, green juice, more water, good balanced dinner, NO SNACKS before bed! Swamp_bucks Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Well I usually don’t but I got called out by my buddy who’s currently in Syria or Iraq, somewhere over there. Told him I wanted to lose weight and he looked me in the eyes and said if I can go 10months in a hostile area away from my wife and kids you can lose 40lbs. There may have been some more colorful words thrown in there. So that’ll be the goal drop weight before he gets back in June-august time frame. mowin, Robhuntandfish and Doebuck1234 2 1

My problem is portion control and sitting at a desk 11-13 hours a day. I downloaded the myfitnesspal app (free version) to try in 2025. I’ll text you. crappyice 1
Robhuntandfish Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I will drop 14-15 lbs by spring. I've always been a big guy, always will be just who I am but def need to lose more again. I dropped 112 pounds years ago and I have gained some back and lost some thru the years since , never more than 40 of it back. I'm about 25 over where i should be. And maybe worry even less about work and realize it should be less important in my life than I make it. Other than that I am very grateful for the life I have and hope for a great year of health for all my friends and family. Happy New year to you all. Here's a healthy approach to resolutions...."I will..." not "I hope to..." and "I am very grateful for the life..." Successful approach - thanks for the reminder GreeneHunter, Stubborn1vt and Robhuntandfish 3
Stubborn1vt Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I could stand to lose 10-15. My plan is to just try to be more active in my "off season" from work. So far, so good. I think the weight will take care of itself, or it won't. Either way, I will feel better if I get out and moving around more this winter. Another goal is to enjoy my free time more. I'm blessed with a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I should do more with it. Last, I will do more cooking with wild game. Canned venison, jerky and more fishes are on my list. I'm ready for safe ice! grampy, mowin, Otto and 1 other 4
