Nomad Posted January 1 Posted January 1 So I go to the Dr for the results of my keep study . She says ,” you look remarkable, are you tired “? “No.” Do you nap during the day ? Get tired driving ? “ “. No and no .” “Well we consider anyone waking up 30 times an hour to have severe sleep apnea, and you’re triple severe, you wake up an average of 88 times an hour , and you’re O2 level drops to as low as 65% .” So I get the mask ,and I’m thinking this is going to be great, since I feel fine now , how great will I feel not waking up 88 times an hour ? Well some days I feel worse then before let alone better . I am getting used to it ,and my nose no longer hurts from it time will tell I guess . Any users here with advice , comments ? grampy 1
Robhuntandfish Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I think anyone that takes a sleep test walks out with a machine. mlamm24, Otto, Lawdwaz and 2 others 5 "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson
Doebuck1234 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Think my other half needs to look into this.been mentioning it to her as she is tired quite frequently, says she feels like she hasn't slept quite frequently.notice she moves around alot when sleeping too
mowin Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Once you get used to it, you'll notice a difference. I sure did. Trial153 and Nomad 1 1

Moho81 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 How do you have time to snore when you wake up 88 times an hour? That's over once a minute.
Trial153 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 It will be a big improvement the first few months, then honey moon ends and you might fight it a bit. work though it. Swamp_bucks Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) They gave me one and it collects dust same for my wife. They aren’t comfortable to sleep in and my readings were about like yours and my settings on the machine would blow my mouth open and cause me to choke because it was forcing so much air in. I told them about it and they told me to try to not open my mouth while I’m in a deep sleep. They still haven’t told me how to do that. I'm trying to this day to get them to adjust it so I can use it but they refuse. Even spoke with RT at work and said it shouldn’t do what it’s doing. Edited January 2 by Swamp_bucks
mlamm24 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) I have been wearing one for a little over a year. Wow what a diffenrce. I feel like a million bucks when I wake up. No more dry mouth and no more headaches every morning. One other thing I noticed is I no longer ge that late night heart burn. Once I started wearing the machine it disappeared. I only have a nose pillow but wanna try the full face mask and try to achieve better results. The 1st week was rough but I kept and it and won't go a night workout wearing it. @Swamp_bucks do you have an older machine? Mine adjuats the amount of pressure based on what it sesnes I need pressure wise Edited January 2 by mlamm24

My family lives well into 90s and 100 , no heart issues in family, much too my wife’s annoyance. As far as snoring, she said not to bad as you have to be breathing to snore . Wife says otherwise , we generally sleep separate, our RN daughter while visiting us in Fla was alarmed at my snoring which set this all off . Im not sure what will improve? I felt fine before ,never tired .

E J Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I wear one. I don't think I really noticed any difference in tiredness. It does keep me from snoring like a freight train however which is why I keep wearing it and in turn keeps my wife happy... well happier. My wife was wearing one as well due to her snoring but she has since lost a bunch of weight and no longer snores so she ditched the machine. Nomad 1
Jeremy K Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Is the mouth piece and option? My wife tried the machine and said absolutely not .

I know that’s all it needs but for some reason they won’t adjust it.
