Wolc123 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 He will probably get stuck downstate for a while but they get to play with some cool boats.
Robhuntandfish Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I was all signed up for the SU conservation program at Morrisville college and bailed on it cause I was afraid of the debt. Wished now I had stuck it out to become a DEC officer. Good luck to the young fella on yotes and the career path. mowin 1 "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson
Redneck4Life Posted January 12 Posted January 12 One of my buddies went to become a Dec officer. Went through all the training graduated. Found out he was going to have to work down by the city for a few years. He ended up quiting. Said it wasn't worth it. He wanted to be home.
mlamm24 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 You guys out now? We just got back from skiing what a beauty of a night. Not much wind and it isn't that cold. Good luck boys and shoot straight! Moog5050 1

I only make it out a few nights a season myself, but love it. We watched that fox work several hundred yards from a back field and through a swamp before he came into our field. Thats exciting watching the dogs come in. dbHunterNY 1

Keith Nehrke Posted January 13 Posted January 13 One of my best buddy's kids just started as an ECO after graduating from their academy last month. The selection process took nearly two years! She's posted in Brooklyn as of now, but hopefully gets back to WNY in the not-so-distant future. She's a hard core turkey hunter, killed a massive Iowa buck during that deep freeze a couple winters ago where the wind chill hit -40F, and most importantly is a core part of our Lake Ontario tournament team. I don't think she's ever predator hunted though. I may need to get her out next time she's in town. Caeden4, Moog5050, Doebuck1234 and 3 others 6
