I think this thread was called "Send It" on the old forum, so if anyone wants it changed, just let me know.

This whole album has been pretty much on repeat for me for the past month. A great blend of funky country gospel that eventually morphs into hillbilly techno. One of the songs even has a generous smathering of Jerry Clower samples.

Day off with the kiddies. Nothing  but Disney songs and that God awful Mariah Carey Christmas song... For some reason my 4 and 1/2-year-old absolutely loves it. Thanks to my wife.

Tomorrow it's all Johnny Cash.

I indoctrinate my kids early. My almost 4 year old asks for Kaleo and Willie Nelson (and Jesus Loves Me on repeat when she goes to bed, which is sweet, but creepy when you wake up at 2am and hear children singing it from the other room).

My oldest  4-1/2 asks for songs by name like Born too late, like my dog, off my rocker, usually we listen to more modern country like Brad Paisley, Billy Currington stuff like that. But she does sing along with some of the Johnny Cash songs.

The baby is 18 months old and she's already bopping to country music in the truck to and from daycare.

But yes that sounds Sweet for them to go to sleep with and learn well in the world we live in, but I agree creepy as hell might of night lmao

I remember getting up to take a leak one night, came back out into the dark hallway, and the music from her room was a little louder than usual. Looked down to see a small figure crouched outside her door. She had heard me get up and came out into the hallway. I about jumped through the ceiling.

If you haven't, check out sturgil simpson and Ryan bingham. All kinda the same but different. Good stuff!

I love me some Sturg! Such an interesting dude, I respect someone who'll basically do whatever he wants to do music-wise and care less what is commercial. We've been able to see him several times, and he puts on a great show.
